History of Streesmutrpakan School

The Ministry of Education established Streesmutprakan School in 1938 by transferring female students from Samut Prakan School (Wat Klang School) to a location in front of Phichaisongkram Temple, covering an area of approximately 3 rai. The school had two buildings: the Saengruji Building (Saenghia) and the Pinitchanthanakit Building (Mian Bamrung). Initially, the school offered education from Grade 3 of primary school to Grade 3 of secondary school. The first principal of the school was Mrs. Kaset Rattanaworaha (Prasertpong). In 1940, the school consolidated primary education by removing Grade 3 and 4 and introduced secondary education with Grade 4. On June 18, 1942, the school expanded to offer Grade 5 of secondary school, with Miss Sabsamai Burawad moving into the position of principal. Under her leadership, the school developed into a trusted institution, attracting more students. The school had four buildings: Saengruji Building, Pinitchanthanakit Building, Prachauthit Building, and the Rassamithong Kitchen. There were 21 teachers, 18 classrooms, and approximately 500 students.

Streesmutprakan School gained popularity and trust from the people of Samut Prakan, leading to an increase in the number of students. The growing demand created space constraints, and the school could not expand further. Therefore, in 1954, Mr. Padej Siwatat, a Member of Parliament for Samut Prakan, requested approval for a budget of 5,687,370 baht from the Cabinet under the administration of Field Marshal Phibunsongkhram, the Prime Minister, to build a new school. Phra Phrajet Aksornlak, a philanthropist, donated 5 rai of land to the Department of General Education to build the new Streesmutpakan School. The Department of General Education also purchased an additional 5 rai, 2 ngan, and 57 square wah, totaling 10 rai, 2 ngan, and 57 square wah. The school was built on Sukhumvit Road, at the 26th-kilometer marker, with the first wooden building named "Ruean Kiew," which was the first building of the new school. The construction cost was 300,000 baht. In 1955, Mr. Padej Siwatat again requested approval from the Cabinet for a budget of 1,500,000 baht from the Ministry of Education and Public Health (MOE) to build a new 2-story building with 16 classrooms, measuring 96 meters in length, on the newly acquired land.

On August 8, 1956, the students of Streesmutprakan School relocated from the original site to the new location at 489 Sukhumvit Road, Pak Nam Sub-district, Mueang Samut Prakan District, Samut Prakan Province. Therefore, Streesmutprakan School has designated August 8 as its founding day.
